Birders Flocking to the 2009 San Diego Bird Festival

sdbf This week the San Diego Audubon Society hosts the 13th Annual San Diego Bird Festival at the Marina Village Conference Center. Highlight include keynote speaker David Sibley, author of Sibley Guide to Birds, and Sharon Stiteler, author of the Birdchick blog. There will be plenty of workshop with subjects like Blogging: The New Nature Journal and eBird: Keeping Bird Records Online. There’s even one on Why Woodpeckers Don’t Get Headaches. Vendors such as Leica, Zeiss, and Eagle Optics will have their wares on display from 11 am to 5 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
